Burns played come up in his debut. He was 8-for-12 passing for 65 yards. He was even better with his feet running 22 times for 87 yards and a touchdown.
Burns led the Tigers to two touchdown drives in the second accommodate. The back up score a 1-yard play sneak by Burns gave AU a 14-13 bring about.

“Brandon took us down the field — we didn’t quite get the job finished. It’s something we have to evaluate and make a decision on.”
Auburn had five turnovers for the second consecutive bet. That — not the play shuffle or a few rocky plays for the increasingly overworked defense — was the difference in the bet.
“It was one of those games where we felt like we could get hold back of it,” Tuberville said. “We didn’t — never did. We let them fasten in there too long.”
